[Machine Translation] Akira Kosemura's new album "88 Keys". This is a solo piano album mainly composed and recorded in his private studio during his stay-home period. This is the first solo piano album that is a departure from the improvised piano works such as "Polaroid Piano" ( 2009 ) and "One Day" ( 2016 ) that have been released in the past, and is the first attempt to create a solid compositional approach to piano music. The album's production was prompted by a pandemic that interrupted the work that had been in the works for the past several years. In the spring of 2020, when a state of emergency was declared, the work began as a response to an impulsive desire for music, and consists of 14 unique pieces, each piece carefully woven together by the artist himself. The result is a pieceful piece of piano music that leaks sunlight into a world of modulations, born out of a situation that no one could have anticipated.

小瀬村晶のニュー・アルバム「88 Keys」。本作は、ステイホーム期間中に、プライベート・スタジオで作曲/録音されたピアノソロの楽曲を中心に集められたピアノソロ・アルバムです。過去に発表してきた「Polaroid Piano」(2009) や、「One Day」(2016) といった即興演奏によるピアノ作品とは趣の異なる、確かな作曲的アプローチから生まれた初の試みとなるピアノソロ・アルバムは、過去数年に渡って構想されていた作品が、パンデミックによって中断を余儀なくされたことが制作の発端となりました。緊急事態宣言が発令された2020年の春、音楽への衝動的欲求に応えるように始まった本作は、ひとつひとつのピースを自身の演奏で丁寧に紡ぎ取った、独自性溢れる14篇の小品から成り立っています。誰も予期しなかったいまの状況だからこそ生まれた、転調する世界に木漏れ日を零す、ピースフルなピアノミュージックが誕生しました。
