The selection of songs other than flamenco songs brings out Takamitsu Ishizuka's individuality as a cantor and his "real" charm. While the original is titled "Surface," the cover is titled "Reverso," a masterpiece that ideally expresses Takamitsu Ishizuka's presence.

沖仁の盟友でもあり、名実ともに日本が誇る最高のカンタオールである石塚隆充が、従来のフラメンコの伝統曲やオリジナル曲を廃し、全編カバー曲に徹したアルバム。もともとハイレゾ配信のみの販売 (2016年1月)だったものに、曲を差し替え、新録音を加えて新装発売が決定 ! 本作は石塚隆充のギターによる弾き語りを元に、そこにゲストを迎えて"足りない音"を加えていくというスタイルで作りあげた作品。フィーチャード・ミュージシャンは五十嵐一生 (tp)、大儀見元 (perc)、コモブチキイチロウ (el.b)、吉田サトシ (el.g)、石塚まみ (rhodes p)、そして津軽三味線の小山豊といった実力派揃い。 フラメンコ以外の楽曲を選曲した結果、逆に石塚隆充のカンタオールとしての個性、自身の"素"の魅力が浮き彫りとなった内容。オリジナルが「表面」ならカバーは「裏面(REVERSO)」というアルバム・タイトルながら、石塚隆充の存在感が理想的に表現された傑作。
