Tonbi Original Soundtrack

[Machine Translation] Director Takahisa Zeze's first film adaptation of Kiyoshi Shigematsu's timeless masterpiece ("Tonbi"), co-starring Hiroshi Abe and Takumi Kitamura, depicts the parent-child bond that is always formed, no matter how many times it is broken. The supporting cast includes Hiroko Yakushimaru, Anne, Ken Yasuda, Yuko Oshima, Kumiko Aso, and others. The music is composed by Takatsugu Muramatsu, who has worked with director Zeze on Antonio Noichi (2011), 64 Rokuyon Part 1 & 2 (2016), The Miracle of the Bride over 8 Years (2017), and To the Unprotected (2021), and Tonbi is his fifth film with the director. In this film, the Irish and Celtic elements of the Irian Pipes and the warm tones of the euphonium brass instruments gently envelop the bond between father and son.

幾度途切れても必ず繋がってゆく親子の絆を描く、重松清の不朽の名作「とんび」を、阿部寛と北村匠海の共演で瀬々敬久監督が初映画化。脇を固めるのは薬師丸ひろ子、杏、安田顕、大島優子、麻生久美子、他豪華キャストが集結。不器用ながらに深い愛で息子を育てた父と、街のあたたかい人たちに助けられながら、一歩一歩まっすぐな大人へと成長してく息子の、不滅の絆を描いた感動の物語。 音楽を担当するのは、瀬々監督とは『アントキノイノチ』(2011)、『64-ロクヨン- 前編/後編』(2016)、『8年越しの花嫁奇跡の実話』(2017)、『護られなかった者たちへ』(2021)に続き、本作『とんび』が5作目となる村松崇継。本作では、イリアン・パイプスのアイリッシュやケルティックな要素と金管楽器のユーフォニアムのあたたかみのある音色が、父と子の絆を優しく包み込む。
