歌あり笑いあり切ない恋もある痛快時代劇! アイドルグループ"Prince"の岸優太 (ジャニーズJr.)NHK ドラマ初主演! "TOKIO"山口達也が10年ぶりにテレビドラマ出演、ロボコン部員として井上瑞稀、橋本涼 (HiHi Jet/ジャニーズJr.)も出演! 2017年は高専ロボコン30周年のメモリアルイヤー! ――高専ロボコン部に所属する将也 (岸優太)は、不真面目な態度が顧問の岩渕 (山口達也)のげきりんに触れ、部への出入りを禁止される。将也がふと学校の和時計に目をとめると、突然歯車が逆転を始め、将也はタイムスリップしてしまう。そこは天保の改革まっさかりの江戸。人形を売ることも作ることも禁止された時代に、将也はからくり人形の職人・源蔵 (和田聰宏)の家に転がり込む。が、そこに源蔵の娘・ひさ (吉本実憂)を狙うからくり人形師・面堂 (村上新悟)が現れる・・・。
