Yoshida was a student at the Hokkaido University Jazz Lab for several months before coming to the U.S., and has known Motoyama since he and Motoyama happened to be in the same freshman band (he was 18 at the time). They are currently playing together in the 5-piece electric jazz-rock band "Cubic Zero Cubic Zero," but Motoyama plays the piano instead of the keyboards in their duo shows. Motoyama plays free jazz and complete improvisation, which he does not usually do, while Yoshida plays surprisingly beautiful melodies and serious solos.

ノイズサックスの吉田野乃子と、ジャズピアニスト本山禎朗による、1987年生まれの同い年デュオ。吉田が渡米前に数ヶ月、北大ジャズ研に在籍していたことがあり、新入生バンドで偶然本山と同じバンドになった時からの付き合い (当時18歳)。現在5人組のエレクトリックジャズロックバンド"Cubic Zero立方体・零"で共に活動中だが、デュオライヴでは本山はキーボードではなくピアノを演奏する。本山は普段はあまりやらないフリージャズ、完全即興も演奏し、吉田は意外にも綺麗なメロディー、真面目なソロなどを披露する。
