[Machine Translation] Norwegian avant-garde black metal pioneers BORKNAGAR return with their 12th studio album "Fall". Oystein G. Brun says of the new album, "It is an extension of our previous work, but we are pushing even further, seeking wider and more challenging horizons. Musically, it is true to our music, but we are striving and challenging ourselves to walk through fire and ice in order to reach the highest peak. The theme that runs through the songs on this album is "longing for and appreciating the things in life that are near and dear to us," and the band members are not bound by their past fame, but rather weave together their individual talents. We spend our lives without being able to touch or know many of the vast places and beings in our lives. Therefore, appreciation for the familiar is a necessity. Through this album, the band depicts everything that is trying to confront the great depravity and push the envelope of possibilities. The title of the album, "Fall," means "struggle against nature, struggle against life," and it encapsulates everything in the artwork, music, and lyrics. The album's eight 54-minute tracks, mixed by Jens Bogren, are as usual magnificent soundscapes that evoke the Norwegian wilderness. The album cover artwork by Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, HELLOWEEN, SODOM, HEAVEN SHALL BURN) is also outstanding.
