LANY is the self-titled debut album by a three-piece electro-pop band based in Los Angeles, USA. The band's name, LANY, was chosen because of the "beautiful visual balance of the letters," which means "from LA to NY (from Los Angeles to New York, conquering the entire United States). In 2014, LANY recorded two songs in four days, uploaded them to the Internet, and six days later received emails and offers from several major labels, and later signed with Polydor Records. They will finally release their debut album in June this year, and will also make their first visit to Japan in August for Summer Sonic.

2017年最重要新人バンド、LANY。ポップなのに、セツナイ。初めてなのに、懐かしい。米・ロサンゼルスに活動の拠点を置く、3人組エレクトロ・ポップ・バンドによる、渾身のセルフ・タイトル・デビュー・アルバム。“視覚的文字バランスが美しいから”という理由で付けられたバンド名のLANYには、“From LA to NY (ロサンゼルスからニューヨークまで、全米を制覇する)”という意味が込められている。2014年にLANYとして4日間かけて2曲をレコーディングし、インターネットにそれらをアップした6日後には、複数の大手レーベルから問い合わせやオファーのメールが舞いこみ、後にポリドール・レコードと契約。今年6月には遂にデビュー・アルバムをリリース予定、更に、8月にはサマーソニック出演で初来日も決定。2017年、最も重要なバンドだ。
