[Machine Translation] This book was originally published under the title "Edogawa Rampo Translation" and was later removed from the complete works. The actual translator was the writer Atsushi Watanabe, who died in an accident at the age of 27, and his brother Keisuke Watanabe, who became a mystery writer, co-translated the book. This is a magnificent reprint of the Gothic translation by the brothers, who were active in the magazine "Shin Seinen. The appendices include "Watanabe On" by Edogawa Rampo and "Shunkan" by Tanizaki Junichiro.
