Moi dix Mois
Great album, I love every song from it^^ A bit disappointed that there's no Limited Edition. And for a long time they haven't released some DVDs. In my personal opinion this album is much greater than "DIXANADU". One of my best love, the other is "NOCTURNAL OPERA".
This album is SO GOOD!!!!! The first time I listened to it, I was in awe at how wonderful it was, and I'm still loving it. I think it's kind of like Malice Mizer's "Bara no Seidou" meets Moi dix Mois, because it is like that dark gothic opera of BnS, yet it is metal with aggression and growling as is present a lot in Moi dix Mois. The soprano singer in this is also very talented! I don't understand some fans saying this sounds like all their other albums, though. I think all of their albums are different from one another, only similar enough to let you know they're obviously from the same band, and this album is no exception. I like all of the songs on this, except I think Baptisma, the last track, was a bit weak. And I don't like Mana's idea of Hell being portrayed as a Paradise, as in the intro track and as he stated in a recent blog, but I still really like the album. It's hard to pick my favorites on this album, since I think all the full songs are great, as well as The Pact of Silence, but they are "The Seventh Veil", "Witchcraft", "The Sect", "Sanctum Regnum", "Dead Scape", and "Dies Irae". This is according to sound only, since I have yet to find any translations to the songs and my Japanese is still poor. Overall, this album is one of my favorites and one of MdM's best, in my opinion. I still listen to it frequently and can't wait for the next release! dix love!
Well worth the loooong wait. Mana's ability to keep his songs tight and organized has definitely improved, even since DIXANADU. Clearly has strong ties to older releases, especially Dix Infernal and Beyond the Gate, yet remains a strong album in and of itself. The whole album rocks my world, but Divine Place now occupies a special corner of my heart. Also, the new arrangement of Ange is pretty much the best thing ever. Of the three songs from Dix Infernal (Pessimiste, Tentation, Ange) that Mana has redone for us, Ange is the best in my opinion. To conclude, I must confess there are only two words I can use to sum up my overall feeling for D+SECT: DIX LOVE!
I received this album for christmas and absolutely love it!!! I personally like it far more than Dixanadu. I kinda feel like Mana-sama went back to some of the roots in Malice Mizer's Bara no Seidou; it's clearly showed through the increased amount of choral and orchestral aspects of the cd. All in all, I definitely recommend this album to all MM, M10m, and goth fans. It won't disappoint!!!
Great full lenght album from Mana-Sama, just as expected. I must say a few tracks didn't stand out too much, but then the other tracks were simply amazing! I loved Pendulum and the new version of Ange most. For any fan of gothic music or of Mana-Sama, this will NOT disappoint. <3 Also, the booklet is great, lots of great pictures as usual.
i pre-ordered the cd, and i hope to every known higher power that it is good. 58.00, i should hope so. mana is awesome, and DIX to him :D wait... rating without being able to hear it first? b.s.
My copy arrived on Friday but me, being a fool, missed the package and so all weekend I spent thinking about D+SECT. On Monday I rushed to the sorting office to collect it. Just put it on iTunes now and as soon as I started listening to the CD I was immediately blown away! I think this has to be some of Mana's best work! Amazing CD! So glad I pre-ordered ^_^ dix love.
