First it should be noted, the first three albums by Leonard Cohen are truly masterpieces. It is pure poetry, which by the rendition by Cohen's fragile voice is simply hypnotic. Songs From A Room is more sober and thriftier in the instrumentation then the debut, and therefore perhaps not as accessible as the first album. Intense listening is necessary to ensure the simply beauty to capture. The new remastering is OK and the two bonus tracks (produced by David Crosby!) fit seamlessly into the original titles.
