[URCレコード・オリジナルアルバム復刻企画第七弾] 日本のインディ・レーベルの先駆けとして1969年に産声をあげ、70年代末に活動を終了したURC (アングラ・レコード・クラブ)。高田渡、遠藤賢司、五つの赤い風船、加川良、はっぴいえんど、岡林信康、その他多くの先鋭的な才能が集ったURCは日本のフォーク/ロックの祖と言える存在。その発売権が2023年ソニーミュージックに移り、6月よりスタートしたURC名盤群のCD再発シリーズ第七弾。『阪本まもる』は、加川良以来の大型新人という触れ込みで登場した大阪出身のフォークシンガー、阪本まもるのデビュー作にして唯一のアルバム (1973年発表)。後にシングルで再録される「メリージェーンのおとぎ話」以外は全編ギター1本による弾き語りで、中川イサトが変名でディレクターを務めている。2023年最新リマスター。
