2014年1月リリースの「us」以来、5年8カ月ぶりのオリジナルアルバムは全10曲入りのセルフ・プロデュース作品。自身初の全編セルフ・アレンジで制作され、日本を代表するミュージシャン陣により、自身の音への拘りが細部まで表現されている。昨年2018年に発売した初の詩集「PARADIGM SHIFT」に綴った詩にメロディをつけた詞先の楽曲が多く、より純度100パーセントと言ってもいいくらいの想いが溢れる作品となった。さらに、2017年に有安杏果に楽曲提供した「裸」のセルフカバーや、2015年にMr.Childrenとの対バンの際に急遽、作曲、披露された「夜明け前」が収録されている。
