本作はRCA移籍後、通算2枚目に当たるアルバムでTHE BROTHERSやWHISPERSも手掛けたご当地ニューヨークはブルックリン出身のプロデューサー、WARREN SCHATSがプロデュース。前作同様にWILL LEE、STEVE GADD、RICHARD TEEといったトップ・セッション・ミュージシャンらがバックアップ。終始込み上げる曲調に加えて、後半にブレイクも入るキラー過ぎるゴスペル・モダン・ソウル「The World Is Waiting for a Change」や、タイトル・トラックの「Make Every Day Count」もゴスペルながらモダン・ソウルとしてDJに非常に人気がある曲。90年代に再発されたCDは廃盤となっており、中古市場では高値で取引されていただけに嬉しい再CD化!
