Clear Blue Sky

[Machine Translation] Clear Blue Sky's only album on the Vertigo label (they reunited in the 90's and beyond) was released in 1970 in a striking cover by Roger Dean. This is the first reissue of the complete CD version, including the ending part of the last song, which was cut on the previous CDs for some reason! The album is based on solid and aggressive hard rock with a guitar trio, but the A side of the LP is a three-part suite, and the composition of the songs is full of modulations, bold scene changes, and progressive elements such as keyboards and flutes, which are unique to the early British Rock period. This masterpiece is finally being restored in its original form! Commentary included.

70年、ロジャー・ディーンによる印象的なジャケットに包まれた作品をヴァーティゴ・レーベルに残したクリア・ブルー・スカイの当時の唯一の作品 (90年代以降に再結成あり)が、なんと初となるオリジナル・マスター・テープを使用、なぜか従来のCDではカットされていた最終曲のエンディング・パートも収録した、CDとしては初の完全版での再発! ギター・トリオ編成によるソリッドで攻撃的なハード・ロックを基本にしつつ、LPのA面を3部構成の組曲で占め、変拍子を多用し、大胆な場面展開を利かせた曲構成や、キーボードやフルートの導入等、多分にプログレッシヴな要素を取り入れたブリティッシュ・ロック初期ならではの名盤が、ようやくオリジナルの形で甦る! 解説付。
