2004年4月から2004年9月までテレビ東京系で全26話が放送された『鉄人28号』初のBlu-ray BOX! 本作は今川泰宏監督による横山光輝の漫画作品『鉄人28号』をテレビアニメ化した4番目の作品で、2005年3月26日にはDVD-BOXが発売された。 ――不朽の名作 "鉄人28号"、再び蘇る。戦争が終わって10年の歳月が流れ、高度成長期の入口に入ろうとする昭和30年のある日、南方の島で旧日本軍の秘密兵器研究所の跡が発見される。中から現れたのは戦争中に開発され未完成のまま廃棄されたはずの人型最高兵器「鉄人28号」であった―。少年探偵金田正太郎の活躍と冒険、正太郎をつけ狙うギャング村雨健次、鉄人を狙って暗躍する謎の組織との戦い、めくるめく陰謀の数々・・・現代日本の原点といえる時代背景を舞台に描かれる、一大空想科学冒険活劇。 全26話収録。DISC5には、2007年に劇場公開された、劇場版『鉄人28号 白昼の残月』を完全収録 (初Blu-ray化)。新規作成ブックレット封入予定。特典CD (新構成・初CD化音源有りの TV版「鉄人28号」音楽集)、外箱付き。
