Saxon Heavy Metal Thunder

this is a 5 star film so that is what it gets 5 stars, this documentry takes you all the way back to 1979 when saxon got sighned to cararre records and went out on tour with motorhead in 1979, there is great archival photos from the 78/79 era as well as some video of saxon playing one song live in 1979 saxon video does not get older then that, then there is more video clips from the early 80s through the mid 80s and into the 90s as well, this documentry shows lots of vintage photos, real true stories not only by the current saxon line up by by past members graham oliver 76--94 and steve dawson 76--86, as well as interviews with biff byford, paul quinn,nigel glockler doug scarret and tim nibs carter, also some of the biff interviews are from the recording sessions back in 1983 for the album that would become crusader, lots of killer stories this is by far one of the best nwobhm documentries i have ever seen about one band, i got the fanclub edition back in 2010, also you get a live show from the current saxon line up from 2008 at the st georges day gig in the uk from april 08 so you just cant go wrong here, everything you wanted to know about saxon is on this dvd, the vintage live footage once again from 79 to 84 is awsome!!!! also the more current footage is great to!! you really get a full behind the scenes look at what goes into a saxon tour and a saxon show and what life is like on the road for saxon since they still tour a lot, i really hope we get a japan edition of there new cd coming out in february 2013 from japan with bonus tracks for sadley there last album call to arms in 2011 did not get a japan release for some reason, anyway buy this, sit back and enjoy the movie!!!! this is real real good stuff here.
