大ヒット・アルバム『レター・フロム・ホーム』から約6年の歳月を経て1995年にリリースされた『ウィ・リヴ・ヒア』は打ち込みの導入やR&Bの要素を取り入れたりと、前作から大きく変貌したサウンドで進化を遂げたパット・メセニー・グループ。そんな彼らが1996年に行ったサンティアゴ公演を収録したアルバムが登場! 1996年4月にチリのサンティアゴで行われたコンサートを収録。メセニー、ライル・メイズ、スティーヴ・ロドビー、ポール・ワーティコという当時のPMG不動の4人に加え『ウィ・リヴ・ヒア』にも参加したヴォーカルと複数の楽器をプレイするマーク・レッドフォード、アーマンド・マーサルという顔ぶれ。これまでの代表作の楽曲を多数披露しており、2000年発表のライヴ盤『トリオ 99 → 00』に初収録される「ナイト・ターンズ・イントゥ・デイ」をプレイしている点においても貴重なライヴ・アーカイヴである。輸入盤国内仕様。日本語帯、英文ブックレット対訳付。
