2代目ヴォーカリスト、ロニー・ジェイムス・ディオが自らのバンド"ディオ"の結成の為脱退、それに伴い元ディープ・パープルのイアン・ギランが加入、新作『悪魔の落とし子』を完成させツアーをスタートさせる。その北米ツアーの中で11月4日のマサチューセッツ州ウースターにて行われたコンサートは地元のFM局用に収録・放送される。そのオーディオ・マスターを使用してのアルバム・リリースである。当日のセット・リストはアンコールを含めて全11曲であることからコンサートの模様を完全収録している。前任の2人のヴォーカル・スタイルとは異なるイアン・ギランが歌い上げるブラック・サバスのナンバーは正に"Deep Sabbath"と呼べるもの。ブラック・サバスでの「スモーク・オン・ザ・ウォーター」が聴けるのも貴重! 輸入盤国内仕様。
