Description
Low-priced for a limited period only. Usually deemed as the final chapter in Oliver Stone's Vietnam trilogy, the film follows the story of a Vietnamese woman from a small village, who after surviving a life of hardships under poverty and prostitution, marries a U.S. marine. Their life together and the years that follow serve as an analogy of former warring nations trying to come to terms with one another through difficulties. What makes this film very unique among all the other Oliver Stone films is that it's central character is a strong woman, whereas most of Stone's other films are about men to whom women occupy only a halfway importance in their lives.
