The film painstakingly depicts a week in the lives of a father and son, who are spending intimate time together for the first time, through black-and-white images interwoven with light and shadow. In the cast, Hinako Saeki gives a fine performance as the emotional turmoil of a woman who is both wife and mother. The role of her son is played by the director's eldest son, who makes his film debut with this film. The director also cast a number of ordinary people to create a unique worldview.
