One day, a former security guard Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) who now owns going business receive an urgent call for help from Jedediah, which was an exhibition at museum of natural history in New York where Larry has worked. On the previous day, most of exhibitions including Jedediah were moved to the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. However, one of the exhibition Dexter steals the Table of Ahkmenrah, which has a magical power to breathe life into exhibition to the Smithsonian Institute. So all exhibition in the biggest national history museum in the world start to move at night and whole museum falls into chaos! Larry infiltrates the Smithsonian Institute in order to rescue Jedediah and other exhibitions. . .
