[Machine Translation] First domestic release in about 3 years! CAUCUS continues to weave quality indie pop/shoegaze music that resonates with the US indie scene, and has released a newly recorded mini-album! This is the first release since Taisuke Endo (SUBTERRANEANSS, GROUNDCOVER. DJLGHTNVL, ex-six-o-minus), formerly known as the drummer of VELTPUNCH, joined the band, and as in previous albums, this album consists of 7 songs recorded at Kichijoji GOK SOUND. The melodies and roaring sounds of the three jazz masters that have become synonymous with the band are woven together with a rhythm section that has deepened and deepened its pressure while maintaining its suppleness. The band's core of indie-pop/shoegaze is still intact, but they have also digested psychedelic and grunge influences, resulting in their most pop and colorful work to date. The album also includes a new recording of "light is beneath the dark" from the Indonesian Shiny Happy Records compilation. The song "Kimi no Uta", which has been well received at live performances featuring Kawakami's vocals, features Hayashi Ito, who has performed with Yanagawa and Kawakami as support for Luminous Orange and is also highly regarded as a solo artist, in the chorus. Following "wandering ones", this album was produced and mixed by Yanagawa. Mastering was done by Soichiro Nakamura.

およそ3年振りとなる国内リリース! USインディーシーンとも共鳴しながら、良質のインディーポップ/シューゲイザーを紡ぎ続ける、CAUCUS新録ミニアルバム! VELTPUNCHの前ドラマーとしても知られる遠藤泰介(SUBTERRANEANSS、 GROUNDCOVER. DJLGHTNVL、 ex-six-o-minus)が加入後初の音源となる今作は、これまでの作品通り吉祥寺GOK SOUNDにて録音された全7曲。バンドの代名詞として確立した3本のジャズマスターが織りなすメロディと轟音に、しなやかさはそのままより重圧に深化したリズムセクション。インディーポップ/シューゲイザーというバンドの基軸はそのままに、サイケ、グランジまでも消化し、これまでの作品を通じて最もポップかつ色彩豊かな仕上がりになっている。7インチ作「wandering ones」、インドネシアのShiny Happy Recordsコンピ収録の「light is beneath the dark」も新録で収録。川上のボーカルをフィーチャーしたライブでも好評の「きみのうた」には、Luminous Orangeのサポートとしても柳川・川上と共演し、ソロとしても評価の高いはやしいとがコーラスで参加。 「wandering ones」に続いて、本作も柳川によるプロデュース、ミックス作品。マスタリングは中村宗一郎氏。
