[生誕80周年特別企画 美空ひばり時代劇傑作選 第2弾] おセンチ姫様・貴美姫と天真爛漫な腰元・お登志が繰り広げる、波乱万丈の恋二つ。美空ひばりと江利チエミの名コンビが、歌と踊りと笑いで魅せる明朗青春ミュージカル時代劇。――鶴岡潘二十万石の息女・貴美姫と、料理お毒味役の腰元・お登志は乳兄弟。貴美姫は自由のない日々に不満を募らせ、おまけに気の進まない縁談を押しつけられて食欲不振。そこで姫の食事をみな平らげるのはお登志のお役目。嫁入り準備のため江戸表へ向かう道中、思い余って本陣から脱走してしまう貴美姫。困ったのは家老と家臣。縁組み先である松平家の手前、何とお登志を姫の身替わりに立てて急場凌ぎと相成った。ニセの貴美姫になったお登志の珍無類の立ち振る舞い。さて一方、脱走して自由満喫の貴美姫は、庶民の祭りに打ち興じ、そこで木場の若旦那・巳之吉と知り合って旅に同道。二人の間に恋が芽生え始めるが、姫の身分が分かって右と左に悲しい別れ。その頃、本陣のニセ姫お登志を、松平潘の反主流派が襲ったが・・・。
