[Machine Translation] In the summer of 1988, MONGOL800, a.k.a. MONGOL800, was formed by Seisaku Kamieyoshi (Vo&B), Takashi Gima (G&V), and Satoru Takazato (Dr&V), who had been classmates at high school in Okinawa, Japan. Their second album, "MESSAGE", released in September 2001, was an exceptionally long hit, topping the Oricon charts seven months after its release. The film will feature behind-the-scenes footage of MONGOL800's live performances, including "MONGOL800 Hatachi at Nippon Budokan" in February 2019, as well as the members' voices. 1988年夏、沖縄の高校在学中に同級生であった上江洌清作(Vo&B)、儀間崇(G&Vo)、高里悟(Dr&Vo)により結成されたスリーピースロックバンド、MONGOL800、通称「モンパチ」。2001年9月に発表した2ndアルバム「MESSAGE」が、発売から7ヶ月後のオリコンチャートで首位を獲得するなど異例のロングヒットを記録する。以降も、故郷の沖縄を拠点に、作品の発表とライブ中心の独自のスタンスで音楽活動を続け、2018年に結成20周年を迎えた。監督は、MONGOL800メンバーの高校時代の後輩であり、彼らの映像作品のほとんどを手掛ける山城竹識。デビュー前からモンパチの姿を目に焼き付け、20年以上追いかけ続けてきた山城だからこそおさえる事のできた貴重な舞台裏とメンバーたちの生の声を、2019年2月に公演された「モンパチハタチ at 日本武道館」を始めとするライブ映像とともに公開する。バンドマンとして変わらず走り続けてた20年、彼らが最も大切にしてきたものは何だったのか?そして、これから歩んでいく新しい道とは? メディアでは一度も語られる事の無かった彼らの"想い=メッセージ"が、いま初めてスクリーンの中で明かされる。モンパチから"あなたに"伝えたい大切なメッセージ。
