今や絶滅寸前の危機にある「男の等身大ロック」(そんなジャンルないかも)ですが、「等身大ロック」の復権をモットーにこの男達(+女1人)が立ち上がった!その名もMALCO。異能のお笑いタレント、板尾創路とのコラボレーションで2005年にユニバーサルよりメジャーデビューした3人組のロックBAND。そのMALCOが約2年振りにリリースする待望のNEWアルバムは全13曲、捨て曲無しの名盤。涙有り、笑い有り、そして感動有りの「MALCOワールド」は、麻生太郎には一生理解できないであろう「庶民の等身大の日常」がわざとらしくなく描かれた、正に「庶民のテーマソング」的な側面を持つリアリティに満ち溢れております!2001年結成。2005年ユニバーサルシグマより1stシングル「男はバカなのか俺がバカなのか」(dwango.jp CMタイアップ曲)でメジャーデビュー。シングル3枚、アルバム1枚をリリース。シングルは約2万枚、アルバムも7000枚のセールスを記録。特にメンバーの地元、関西地区では大きな盛り上がり&セールスを記録する。2007年には日本武道館でボンジョビ、DREAM COMES TRUEと夢の競演LIVEを果たす。ライヴ活動は精力的に行いながら音源のリリースが途絶えていたが、遂に約2年振りのNEWアルバムをリリース。ライブで最も盛り上がり、観客の大合唱を誘うHAPPYなナンバー「パンパカパンの日曜日」や、MALCOの最大の特徴である切ないバラードの名曲「今は昔」(USENチャートで07年7月度10位にランクされたMALCOファンお馴染みの名曲の初音源化)、「息子より」など、とにかく音源化が待たれていたライヴの定番曲が全13曲収録されています。「BEST OF MALCO」とも言うべき選曲となっております。ほぼ全曲の録音&MIXをVoの宗ひろしが担当し、「等身大のMALCO」が音源にも見事に封じ込められております。
