the twentiesが前作より2年8ヶ月ぶりとなる、バンド初のfull album「GLIMMER」を2017年11月1日にリリースすることが決定した。 年間150本を越えるライブで日本中を駆け巡り、格段にライブ力が進化したthe twenties。他の追随をゆるさない独創的なバンドスタイルと、よりブラッシュアップされたタカイリョウの唄と詩が冴え渡る今作は、力強くも儚く、そして優しさを纏った閃光のような作品となり、ここに完成した。 今回のアルバムではライブでも定番の楽曲になっているM1.「LET IT DIE」M2.「追憶ダンス」がWリード曲として収録されている。 また今作では神戸 尼崎のバンド [CUma]のカヴァー曲でもあるM.8「下坂部」も収録されており、そんな様々な楽曲が彩る今作のなかでもM5.「園の子」ではタカイリョウの人生が刻印されているであろう、この曲には、言葉一つ一つが紡ぎだされる一瞬一瞬に途方もない力強さを感じる。不安感を煽るような曲の始まりを受け、徐々に鳴り出す優しいアコースティック・ギターの音色が印象的なまた一味違う楽曲となっている。 Release Tourも各都市を周り今回初となるOneman TourをFinal Seriesとして開催することになっている。 未だに進化を止めないthe twenties の1st full album「GLIMMER」を存分に味わって欲しい。
