Hi:BRiD、7ヶ月ぶりの新作リリース決定!2008年、8月より活動を開始したHi:BRiDのニューシングルの発売が決定。今作は3曲とも既にライブでは披露している、人気の高い楽曲を収録。タイトル曲「UTOPIA」はアップテンポで明るい曲調のこの曲は、ライブでも大変人気が高く、CD化を望む声が高い楽曲。2曲目「LESSON」は、Hi:BRiDらしい激しさと妖しさを兼ね備えた楽曲で、こちらもライブでは「暴れ曲」として定番。3曲目「1998」はどこか懐かしい感じのするメロディーと、バックサウンドの激しさがライブ映えする楽曲と「Hi:BRiDのライブ」をテーマに仕上げられた1枚になっています。また、6月9日にはバンドとしては初となる主催イベント「the unpleasant world」を高田馬場AREAにて開催。
