VAUGE-BEST OF FURUHASHI TSUYOSHI

月刊誌 JAZZLIFE(三栄書房)2008年9月号(8月12日発売)に新譜VAUGE・旧橋壮の2年ぶりのインタビュー記事及び広告掲載、レビュー露出が正式決定。今年5月3日にリリースされた旧橋壮が参加しているクラブジャズのコンピレーションアルバム「NuJazzConference@Tokyo」NVSE0003(JABBERLOOP、KIMONO MYHOUSE他参加、TSUTAYA、JーWAVE協賛)収録曲「HOMARGEII」も当アルバムに収録。昨年6月にリリース、HMVのJ-JAZZ予約チャート1位になり、手売りも含め発売一年で1000枚完売となった前作「宇宙の花」好評を受けて、未発表テイク、リマスタリングを含めた初のベストアルバムが本作「VAUGE」スタジオウィーから2002年にリリースされたファースト ufuruhashi」からピアノの富樫春生とのデュオ曲やメロディの良さから北海道地方、大阪地方などで口コミで大学のジャズ研究会やジャズバンドにカバーされている名曲「HOMARGE」未発表テイク収録。一部のファンからは年間ジャズベスト3に選ばれ、コルトレーンが生きていたらこういう演奏ではなかったかというファンの声を反映した内容でコンポーザーとしての一面もクローズアップされている。ドラムのツノ犬やSTICK、ターンテーブル t者との楽曲など聞きごたえ満載。
