[Machine Translation] rocketmans is a mixed male/female band from Okinawa, Japan. rocketmans has been active since 1996, and performs about once a month in Naha city. Their music is a hybrid sound of guitar pop mixed with elements of 60s psychedelic, soft rock, neo-core, techno, house, and punk, with melodies sung in Japanese with delicate beauty. The band has released three cassette tapes so far, and is now releasing their first mini-album on their own ATOMOSPHERE RECORDS label. The compositions range from epic soundscapes that are over 10 minutes long to upbeat tunes reminiscent of UK indie music. A must-listen for guitar pop fans.

沖縄の男女混合バンド、rocketmans。1996年に活動を開始し、月一回程度のライブを那覇市中心に行っている。音楽性はギターポップに60sサイケ、ソフトロック、ネオコア、テクノ、ハウス、パンクの要素が混ざったハイブリッドなサウンドで、日本語で歌われるメロディは繊細な美しさを持つ。これまでに、3本のカセットテープ音源をリリースしていて、この度、自ら運営するATOMOSPHERE RECORDSから初のミニアルバムのリリースとなる。WEEZER、BOO RADLEYS、THE BEACH BOYS等をリスペクトしており、曲の構成も10分を超す壮大なサウンドスケープからUKインディを思わせるアップビートチューンまで多岐にわたっている。ギターポップファン必聴の作品。
