ウェブサイト「歌謡曲リミテッド」で連載してきたコラムを書籍化した「東京レコード散歩 昭和歌謡の風景をたずねて」(鈴木啓之/著)との連動企画CD。このアルバムは、2020年の東京オリンピックに向けて、大きく変貌を遂げつつある街、東京に特化した視点で、タイトルや歌詞に東京が出てくる曲のみで構成。聞きながら、東京の雰囲気を体験できるとともに、その時代時代に、東京はどのように歌われてきたのか、歌謡曲と東京の親密な関係性が再確認できるコンピレーションアルバム。選曲は鈴木啓之氏、監修は「歌謡曲リミテッド」が行う。ソニー・ミュージック、ポニーキャニオン、日本コロムビアのレコード会社3社共同企画として、3社より3アイテム同時発売。
