ヨーロッパ・ジャズ界を牽引する孤高の天才ピアニスト、ジョバンニ・ミラバッシによるジブリ・カバー集。少年時代から日本のアニメファンであり、特にスタジオジブリ作品をこよなく愛するイタリア生まれのミラバッシは、2015年にジブリ作品を中心にカバー収録した「アニメッシ～天空の城ラピュタ ほか～」をリリースした。同年に日本で行われたコンサートには、かねてからファンだったという宮崎駿監督も来場し、その後も交流が続いた。今作ではジブリ作品のみで構成し、ピアノ・トリオによる熟練のアンサンブルで放つ情熱的な演奏がジブリの名曲に新たな息吹を与える。また、宮崎駿監督が提供したイラストを使用したジブリファン必携のジャケットデザイン。デジパック&スリーブケース、そして折り込みポスターを封入した特別仕様でのリリース。
