The previous full album "Postcards from No Mand's Land" by former_airline is a disturbing ambient work released in 2020 from Call And Response Records, depicting the anxiety and emptiness before and after the COVID-19 pandemic in urban life. After releasing multiple EPs in formats such as digital distribution, cassette, and CD-R from their own label FALRec, the ambitious work completed again with Call And Response becomes the latest full album "Breath of the Machineries". The theme is "the breath of machines". While being weary of the reality that has become completely science fictional, the album weaves sounds between fantasy, nostalgia, reverie, and dystopia as driving forces. Influences from the short stories of Ray Bradbury and Theodore Sturgeon, and the works of David Lynch float throughout, resulting in a fantastic and mysterious sonic world that also includes a tribute to Lynch.

【こちらの商品はカセットテープです。カセット専用機器のみ再生可能です。】 former_airlineの前作フルアルバム『Postcards from No Mand's Land』は、2020年に＜Call And Response Records＞からリリースされた、都市生活におけるCOVID-19パンデミック前後の不安と空虚を描いた不穏でアンビエントな作品であった。その後、自主レーベル＜FALRec＞から配信、カセット、CD-Rといったフォーマットで複数のEPを発表し、再び＜Call And Response＞とタッグを組んで完成させた意欲作が、最新フルアルバム『Breath of the Machineries』である。テーマは"機械の息づかい"。すっかりSF化した現実に辟易しつつも、ファンタジーとノスタルジーを駆動力に、夢想とディストピアの狭間で音を紡ぎ上げたアルバムである。レイ・ブラッドベリやシオドア・スタージョンの短編、そしてデヴィッド・リンチ作品からの影響が随所に漂い、結果的にリンチへの追悼の意も込められた、幻想奇譚的な音世界が広がっている。
