幻想物語 [Blu-spec CD] [完全限定生産] / PFM
PFMの1972年作品。60年代後半に結成されたビート・バンド「クエッリ」を前身とし、ギター/ドラム/ベース/キーボードという編成にフルートを加えることで、プログレッシブ・ロックへと方向転換を図った。グループ名を改名し、イタリアの新興レーベル、ヌメロ・ウーノから発表されたこのデビュー作は、後にキング・クリムゾンで作詞を担当していたピート・シンフィールドの手により制作された傑作『幻の映像』(1973年)に勝るとも劣らない出来映え。その『幻の映像』に収録された「セレブレイション」は、本作の「祭典の時」を基にするなど、その後のグループの方向性を占う重要曲を多数収録したアルバムといえる。イタリア本国のアルバム・チャートでも2位を記録。 2003年リマスタリング音源。解説・歌詞・対訳付。
