伝説のソウル・シンガー、ハワード・テイト30年振りの新作!! グラミー賞Best Contemporary Blues Albumノミネート。 1939年、ジョージア州出身のソウル・シンガー。NYをベースに活動し、'60年代には彼の大表曲"Get It While You Can"が、ジャニス・ジョプリンにもカバーされるなど注目を集める。しかし、'70年代に入るとファンの前から完全に姿を消してしまった。2001年、デビュー当初から彼の作品を手掛けていたプロデューサー/ソングライターのジェリー・ラゴヴォイとも再会を果たし、それがきっかけとなって今回のアルバムの発売となった。今作には、彼の大ファンでもある、エルヴィス・コステロが楽曲(5曲目)を提供している。来日記念盤。
