[Machine Translation] Akihiro Nishiguchi FOTOS" is the first album by Akihiro Nishiguchi FOTOS, a band formed by Akihiro Nishiguchi, a leading saxophone player in the jazz scene. Members of the band include pianist Hakuei Kim, drummer Sota Kira, bassist Marty Holoubek, and trombone player James Macaulay. Singer Merinda Dias-Jayasinha also appears as a guest on one track. This is Nishiguchi's first album as a leader in about seven years. The songs are all Nishiguchi's original compositions, and the sound played by musicians from across the border is full of originality and energy, a mixture of pop and avant-garde.

ジャズシーンをリードするサックスプレイヤー西口明宏が結成したバンド"Akihiro Nishiguchi FOTOS"の1stアルバム。メンバーはピアニストのハクエイ・キム、ドラムスに吉良創太、ベースのMarty Holoubek、トロンボーンプレイヤーJames Macaulayが参加。またシンガーのMerinda Dias-Jayasinhaがゲストで1曲参加している。西口のリーダー作としては、およそ7年ぶりとなる本作。楽曲は全て西口のオリジナルであり、国境を越えて集まったミュージシャン達によって奏でられるサウンドは、独創性に溢れポップネスとアバンギャルドがせめぎ合うエネルギー溢れるものとなった。
