── ピンチの時にはヒーローが必ず現れる・・・。自由奔放で自信家のペコ (星野裕)。クールで笑わないスマイル (月本誠)。二人は片瀬高校卓球部。子供のころ、ペコに誘われて卓球道場タムラで卓球を始めたスマイルはかなりの腕前だが、今でもペコにはなかなか勝てない。そんなペコの前に、辻堂学院の留学生、孔文革 (コン・ウエンガ)が立ちふさがる。また、片瀬高校の顧問・小泉は、スマイルの能力をさらに開花させるため個人レッスンに乗り出す。ドラゴン (風間竜一)率いる常勝・海王学園を揺るがすのは誰か。海王に通うペコとスマイルの幼馴染、アクマ (佐久間学)も闘志を燃やす。各人の思いをよそに、インターハイ予選は近づいてくる。274cmを飛び交う140km/hの白球。その行方が、頂点を目指す少年たちの青春を切り裂く。ヒーローは、現れるのか・・・。
