Double Infinity

[Machine Translation] Big Thief, the Grammy-nominated band that has become a mainstay on the US indie scene, releases its sixth album on the 4AD label. Double Infinity" is the follow-up to the Grammy-nominated 2022 album "Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You" and was recorded in the winter of 2024 at Power Station Studios in New York City. The three of us cycled back and forth between Brooklyn and Manhattan on icy streets, meeting daily in the warm, wood-floored room at Power Station to work for three weeks. They played for nine hours a day, all recording at the same time, improvising arrangements, and working with musical colleagues like Larage, Alena Spanjer, Caleb Michael, Hannah Cohen, John Neren, Joshua Crumbley, June McDoom, Mikkel Patrick Avery, and Mikey Buishas. They improvised arrangements and made collective discoveries, all recording simultaneously. Double Infinity was produced, engineered, and mixed by Dom Monks, who has worked with Big Thief for many years. Includes bilingual lyrics and commentary.
