We want to share with you some methods Japanese people use to tolerate extreme heat in the summer.

Firstly, there are cooling sprays, cooling wipes, and cooling masks. Some cooling sprays can make you feel cooler for thirty minutes if you spray them on your t-shirt.

With different scents, and with different names cotton cooling wipes also help you survive on sweaty days. There are many types, and you may have a hard time deciding which one to choose. The easiest way to decide to choose one is to ask a friend to buy you a cold one.

Portable fans are still one of the most common ways young and old Japanese people use. Coolness, long battery life, and quietness are some qualifications people are looking for in a portable fan.

In Japan, there are UV-blocking umbrellas that protect you from heat and light and may cut around 90% of UV radiation.

Cooling pillow covers help your body temperature lower slower than gel packs and ice packs.

Eating cold treats like kakigōri is also something you must try to cool your body on Japan's hot summer days. There are different flavored shaved ice in Japan nowadays, but the most classic ones are matcha and azuki bean flavored. Also, you can try fruit flavors like lemon, melon, and strawberries.

And lastly, don't forget to try Japan's classical summer cold drinks: Melon Soda and Ramune.
