When we want to learn a language with books, they provide new vocabulary, grammar points, practicing with a scenario, and some fill-in-the-blanks exercises after a daily conversation paragraph or an article.

Since people have different visual and auditory perception abilities, learning Japanese may require different methods like in any other language. The best part is that many of us are interested in Japanese music, TV series, and anime. So we can learn the basics naturally with them.

Later on, while preparing for the Japanese language exam, you may have a gut feeling of already knowing things.

Now, let's have a look at how we can improve our Japanese with the laid-back camp, shall we?

  1. Do karaoke with the Laid-back Camp soundtrack
  2. Imitate your favorite character's lines
  3. Translate Laid-back camp manga
  4. Play Laid-back Camp games
  5. Create your own laid-back camp vocabulary index
  6. Create your own card game

1- Do karaoke with the Laid-back Camp soundtrack

When I was in middle school, there were pages in the textbook which were really fun to make. Those were the listening pages, and there were fill-in-the-blanks lyrics in them. Now with the soundtrack of laid-back camp, you can practice both your Japanese listening and speaking ability by making your own fill-in-the-blanks lyrics page on a notebook and doing karaoke.

And if you are a newbie you can start with Romaji.

2- Imitate your favorite character's lines

While watching laid-back camp anime, you can repeat your favorite character's lines. That may help you to improve your pronunciation.

Of course, every region may have a different dialect, but this makes Japanese speaking practice more fun, right?

3- Translate Laid-back camp manga

First, we need to have the laid-back camp manga in 2 different languages; one in Japanese and the other may be the one you can understand.

Then, try to understand the general meaning of the scenes in the pages. Later check if you understand correctly. Remember, when you are translating, nothing translates word by word. A general understanding and enjoyment are your priority.

If you really can't understand the meaning of the word that can affect the whole scene, you can look it up from a Japanese dictionary and write it down in a notebook. This may be the start of your own laid-back camp vocabulary index.

4- Play Laid-back Camp games

5- Create your own laid-back camp vocabulary index

You can improve your Japanese vocabulary knowledge with camp-themed words. And learning more words can help you learn kanji which can be pronounced differently in different vocabulary.

6- Create your own card game

You can create your own camping-themed matching card game to help memorize the words.

Do not forget that there isn't one correct method in the learning process since the method's success can be changeable with the person's visual and auditory perception abilities.

People may not have the opportunity to study languages in their busy lives. And also, putting pressure on yourself can make the learning process more difficult.

I wanted to share these ideas with you, as I am both a person who loves Japanese culture and tries to learn Japanese in any way I can. And I want to remind you that I am not a teacher, and these are not exam preparation methods. I am just trying to learn Japanese in a fun, natural way.
