ダイジョウブ、笑顔は負けない。広い空、澄んだ空気、雄大な岩手山・・・。老舗旅館「加賀美屋」の面々が再び巻き起こす、平成の民話ドラマ。 2007年春から放送された「連続テレビ小説どんど晴れ」の続編。涙と笑いの若女将・夏美の成長記! ――夏美(比嘉愛未)は盛岡の老舗旅館、加賀美屋の若女将として奮闘中。ある日、シンポジウムでリゾート会社代表の高木と出会う。高木は自然の力を活かし、経営難の旅館を建て直すリゾート再生の第一人者だった。高木から、加賀美屋も改革をしないかと提案があり、柾樹と伸一は高木が手がける青森の旅館を視察。環境に優しい施設作りに加え、おもてなしのマニュアルで仲居教育をする方式に感銘を受け、導入に賛成する。しかし女将の環や夏美は、それが本当のおもてなしにつながるのか疑問を持っていた。「目に見えるおもてなし」を求める高木を探るため、高木の故郷、遠野に向かう夏美。その頃、高木が手がけていた青森の旅館が・・・。前編: 座敷童子(わらし)を見た男、後編: 玉手箱の誓い (73分×2話) を収録。
