ILLUSTRATION 2021 [Regular Edition]

The latest 2021 edition of the ILLUSTRATION series, the catalogue that symbolizes the latest illustrations. 150 talented artists from across Japan's unique and diverse illustration scene that is attracting worldwide attention, from diverse pop culture to contemporary art and the ever-changing internet culture, will be participating in this gorgeous competition. The cover illustration for 2021 will be created by Little Thunder, a popular Hong Kong artist with over 700,000 Instagram followers who has garnered attention in Japan and around the world. The book will be designed by Tomoyuki Arima, an up-and-coming designer whom many of the authors trust. Over 90% of the authors in the book have been replaced by new authors from the previous book, ILLUSTRATION 2020. All the artists who appeared in the previous book are no longer included, and every page of the book has been redesigned to provide a new look at the cutting edge of contemporary illustration. This book also uses the latest printing technology, "Brilliant Palette," which is specialized for art books and art prints, to allow the reader to enjoy every detail of the artist's worldview, color and brushwork.
