2013年夏にバンド結成。とオフィシャルプロフィールでは記載してきたが、先日、メンバーが様々な履歴を辿った結果、2013年7月4日にバンドを結成していたことが判明したことを受け、今年の7月4日にめでたく結成10周年を迎える。周年を盛り上げるべく、3枚目のフルアルバム『ヘルシンキラムダクラブへようこそ』をアナログ盤と配信でリリース。今年の4月にシングルとしてリリースした楽曲「スピード」のパラレルワールドver.とも言えるM1「台湾の煙草」から幕を開け、5月にリリースした海外ドラマ「フレンズ」xオリエンタルxトロピカルな無国籍チューンM2「Chandler Bing」、夏の新定番ヘルシンキ流ポップソングM3「バケーションに沿って」、感じるままに音を重ねて制作したヘルシンキらしさが詰まったM4「Horse Candy」、タイのファンクバンドFORD TRIOと国境を越えたデータセッションで作り上げたM5「愛想のないブレイク (with FORD TRIO)」と続き、ライブで進化し続けるダブやレゲエ要素を取り入れたM6「収穫(りゃくだつ)のシーズン」、ヘルシンキメンバーと親友でもある2人、never young beachのベーシスト巽啓伍をギターに、ニガミ17才などのサポートドラムとしても活躍する谷朋彦ドラムに迎えて合宿で制作したM7「Golden Morning」、シンガーソングライターの柴田聡子を客演に迎えた"和"や"侘び寂び"を感じるM8「触れてみた (feat. 柴田聡子)」、人生讃歌をテーマにしたM9「Be My Words」、ヘルシンキ史上一番のラブソングM10「ベニエ」、最後は「Golden Morning」と同じく巽啓伍・谷朋彦を迎えて合宿で制作し、一発録りで録音した壮大な楽曲M11「See The Light」で締めくくる。これまでも千変万化の表現を見せてきたHelsinki Lambda Clubだが、今作に収録した11曲は、今まで以上に色々な顔があり、これぞまさにテーマパーク。そして、アートワークはニューヨークを拠点に活動し、世界的に活躍するコラージュ作家 Johanna Goodmanが担当。まさにこのアルバムを象徴するデザインに仕上がっている。常に今が最高を更新し続け、そして今を全力で楽しんでいるHelsinki Lambda Clubだからこそ作ることができた、Helsinki Lambda Club"らしさ"がふんだんに詰まった作品をお楽しみに! ヘルシンキラムダクラブへようこそ!
