主演: 中山優馬×原作: 上田誠で贈るスペシャルドラマ! 京都を拠点にマルチに活動する劇団「ヨーロッパ企画」が1999年に発表した作品のドラマ化。――天使たちが住む世界に存在する「本庁」。それは主に、人間を助ける事を仕事とする、人間社会で言う所のお役所的な存在。その本庁のとある課に配属された佐野智之(中山優馬)は、死んだばかりの"新人天使"。交通事故という、ありふれた形で死んだ佐野は、ベテラン天使で課長でもある竹中隆一(池田成志)に連れられ、配属先の課へとやってきた。そこで佐野を出迎えたのは、白血病で亡くなり、天使となってからは主に課でデータ管理をしている永井千佳子(山本真由美)。生前は人気覆面レスラーとして活躍し、自らのミスで亡くなった荒神謙(諏訪雅)。遅刻の常習犯、"課のガン"とまで呼ばれ、誰からも信頼のないお荷物天使・山下敏夫(神山智洋)。個性的な面々に迎えられ、天使の仕事である"人助け"の内容をレクチャーされる佐野。そんな彼が、課の面々と最初に手掛けることになった仕事が男女の出会いのお手伝い、"カップリング"。本庁の指示のもと、佐野たちが出会いのサポートをするのは、20歳の美大生・加藤淳平(重岡大毅)と、19歳のペットショップで働くフリーター・青山弥生(柳英里紗)。天使たちはあらゆる知恵と機転を利かし、2人の出会いを遂行しようとするが・・・天使たちが入念に計画を練った、偶然を装った"必然の出会い"。果たして淳平と弥生は、天使たちのサポートの元、無事、出会う事ができるのか? 豪華版にはメイキングなどキャストの素顔満載の特典ディスクと番組オリジナルグッズ(内容未定)を封入!
