シンセサイザーの巨匠冨田勲が「はやぶさ」に捧げる、渾身の叙事詩! 宇宙体感3Dで、「はやぶさ」と一緒に7年・60億キロの旅に出よう! 全編3Dの迫力で、数々の困難を切り抜けていく「はやぶさ」の宇宙の旅を再現。「はやぶさ」が翼 (太陽電池パドル)を広げて太陽からエネルギーを受ける力強さや、宇宙を旅する孤独な姿が、3Dならではの奥行きで、まるで心をもった機械のように迫ってきます。出演に、藤原竜也、杏、三浦友和、前田旺志郎等。成功も失敗も、次の挑戦の大切な経験にして受け継いでいく日本の宇宙開発の歴史が、親子の絆の再生を通して描かれます。サラウンドによる音楽創造を追求し続けた冨田勲による音楽は、この3D映像に豊かな彩りと息吹を与えているのみならず、深い親交があった故・糸川英夫博士 (日本の宇宙開発の先駆者)へのオマージュとなっています。
