Koyudo did something magical with this brush set and it had far, far exceeded my expectations. Every single brush in this set is EXCEPTIONALLY soft. I'm pretty sure the two goat face brushes are supposed to be sokoho goat hair, but I had to do a double take since they almost felt like squirrel! Those two goat brushes alone are softer than my Hakuhodo J series ones (J210, J110, J104, just to name a few), which is very confusing and quite an amazing feat. If you blindfolded me, I would've assumed those those face brushes were a squirrel and goat mix at the very least. Now, onto the eye brushes--RIDICULOUSLY soft as well. The blending brush is exceptional. It's got that classic blending brush shape a la MAC 217 but a bit smaller and denser, which I prefer for my Asian eyes. The squirrel hair in this brush is CRAZY soft! It is softer than my Chikuhodo Z series brush... talk about crazy. I've never owned any tamage hair brushes before and it is softer than squirrel... if only tamage (cat?) had longer hair to make some very addicting powder and cheek brushes :P The eyebrow brush was also a lot softer than I had expected as I assumed it would be super stiff. Overall I would recommend this brush set to ANYONE unless you have very large hands. I usually prefer long handle brushes but I got this for travel purposes anyway, BUT I will be incorporating these brushes into my regular routine because every single one of them is exceptionally great.

I keep this set in my to-go bag with my other cosmetics. It's hard to find a quality set of mini brushes, so I was excited to receive these after many many failed attempts at purchasing lower quality brushes from other companies. The powder and blush brush are great sizes and are very soft. Softer then any of the mini sets I've tried. The eyeshadow brushes are nice too and perform to standard. The case that comes with it is convenient and carries a number of additional items for me as well (I've added a travel lip brush and fupa-13), and some quick to-go items like; lipsticks, blotting powders, fragrance samples and a powder puff. I only give the 5 Piece Vivid Pink Bush Set - Four Stars... because of the price. I wish it could be more affordable so others can add this lovely piece to their collection.
