[Machine Translation] Progressive rock band Archive's ninth album released with a film! Archive, a South London music collective formed in 1993, is pleased to announce the release of their ninth album, "Axiom"! This release is a 40-minute short film with the Spanish film collective NYSU, featuring the soundtrack from the album. We have often been told that our album is like the soundtrack to a movie, and we decided to really make a movie this time around. This time we decided to make a real film," says vocalist Darius Keeler. The film will be shown at the Sundance London Film Festival. The album was recorded in 12 days, mixed in another 10 days, and finished in one month. The album is centered around the sound of bells, and the bells were recorded at Greenwich Church. The album will be released on his own label, Dangervisit! Since then, their sound has evolved from trip-hop to progressive with soul and orchestral elements. The archive has evolved from the original four-piece to a twelve-piece collective, and we hope you will check out this highly anticipated ninth release along with the film!

プログレシブ・ロック・バンド、アーカイヴの9作目は映画と共にリリース! 1993年に結成された南ロンドン音楽コレクティブ、アーカイヴの通算9枚目のリリース『アキシオム』! 今回のリリースはアルバムの音源をサウンドトラックに起用した40分間の短編映画をスペインの映画コレクティヴ、NYSUと共に制作。「よく周りから僕たちのアルバムは映画のサウンドトラックみたい、と言われていたんだ。今回は本当に映画を作ってみようと思い立ったんだ」とヴォーカルのダリアス・キーラーは映画制作の意図を語る。こちらは映画フェスティバル、サンダンス・ロンドンでの公開も控えている。そしてアルバムの方はなんとたったの12日でレコーディングを終え、ミキシングに更に10日かけ、1ヶ月で仕上げたという。鐘の音を中心とし、その鐘の音をグリニッチ教会にてレコーディング。アルバムは自身のレーベル＜Dangervisit＞よりリリースされる! 1993年のリリース作『ロンディニアム』では見事ピーター・ガブリエルの心を掴み、以来トリップホップからプログレッシブでありながらソウルやオーケストラ要素を含むサウンドへ発展。元の4人組から12人ものコレクティヴに進化してきたアーカイヴの期待すべき9作目は是非映画と共にチェックして欲しい!
