2007年のアルバム・デビュー以来、その瑞々しくも切ないメロディーのパワー・ポップで、キッズのハートをキュンと掴んできたフロリダ出身の5人組、ウィー・ザ・キングス。新世代パワーポップ・バンドとして、人気を集めてきた彼らの最新アルバム『SIX』が到着! アルバム・タイトルの“6”が意味するのは、本作が6作目である事と、本作がクラウドファンディングで制作費の出資を募って完成させた作品で、出資してくれた“6人目のメンバー”である彼らのファンへ捧げた作品でもある。クラウドファウンディングや制作の過程を通し、バンドは結成当時の情熱やケミストリーを思い起こしたという。デビュー以来10年に亘り、ずっとサポートし続けてくれたファンへの感謝が込められているのは勿論、本作は、そのファンがいたから実現したアルバム。ジャケットに描かれている「SIX」の三文字は、そのクラウンドファンディングに出資したファンの写真のコラージュから作られている。
