The song sings about all the different youkai in the Kitarou world. The melody is similar to songs you'd hear during Japanese festivals. A second track has the same tune but sings about different youkai. What I think makes this so good is Suwabe. You've never heard him like this before and I think anyone who's used to his deep-voiced anime characters would be in for a surprise. People often say that Suwabe doesn't have range or that he always sounds the same. This CD proves them all wrong. Even a friend of mine who heard the song while in the car with me said she didn't realize it was him until I told her, and still she had a hard time believing it.
