Blu-ray box release of "Giant Robo"OVA series directed by Yasuhiro Imagawa and based on Mitsuteru Yokoyama manga. Anime is very popular for its high quality of animation! Plot: it takes place in a near future where the invention of the Shizuma Drive has brought about the third energy revolution, ascending mankind into an age of prosperity. Dr. Shizuma and his four colleagues are developing the drives using the perfect energy source; non-pollutive and recyclable. In this era, two major powers are locked in a fierce struggle. The first is the Big Fire Organization, which is a very powerful and evil organization who threatens to conquer the world using their robots. Against them are the agents of the International Police Organization. They each have a special power, and they use the most powerful robot in the world, Giant Robo, controlled by Daisaku Kusama. Includes the complete 7 OVA in a remastered version, a booklet (100 pages), English language (dubbed and subtitles) and box was illustrated by the popular character designer Akihiko Yamashita ("Howl's Moving Castle", "Tales of Earthsea"). Also comes with many bonus video footage (cast and staff interview, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra performance, trailers, sound mix, promotion videos etc.), audio commentary by the staff (Sumi Shimamoto, Akihiko Yamashita etc).
