Description
The 1963 adventure anime is based on the idean by Osamu Tezuka. The film marked Hayao Miyazaki's first job as a young animator (just an in-betweener back then) at around age 22. Inspired by a classic Samurai/Ronin tale of revenge, it follows the adventures of a pup named Rock whose mother was killed by a murderous tiger. With the help of other dogs, Rock - now a grown-up dog - is ready to avenge his mother.
